Mary Neal Project
Website launching soon.
Mary Neal and the Somerstown girls of the Espérance Club were instigators of the English Folk Song and Dance Revival of the early 20th century. The Mary Neal Project brings to light their undertold stories and connects them to the inheritance of song and dance today.
Mary Neal Day & Website launch
This website will be launched on 7 February 2009 as part of the Mary Neal Day at Cecil Sharp House in collaboration with EFDSS - a celebration of her life and work. The day unpacks an old box to create something new: a celebratory encounter between contemporary arts and English folk practitioners to look at tradition with fresh eyes through song, dance, conversations, feasting and fun!
